Willpower and the strength
So, what is stopping us? Well, aside from reality and circumstances, the lack the willpower and the strength to follow through is often a main obstacle that stops many people from progressing forward in life.
To further complicate matters, most of us are self-sabotaging ourselves in one form or another. It's usually more than we mindful of or would like to admit, but most people are doing to some degree. We are limiting ourselves, and in some cases, abusing ourselves from living a better life.
It difficult hard to except, but we are often the ones that are stopping us from achieving realistic, sustainable goals of becoming the person we want to be, the person we have the potential to be in life. And that is truly unfortunate for us and for the people around us that we affect.
I call it the Struggle Within. It's up to us to love ourselves and to stop thinking and doing things that hurts us or limits us in any way.
We are responsible
It's our responsibility to position ourselves in the best situation possible, so we can effectively deal with the circumstances that life has to offer, for as long as possible until we die.
What is it worth?
In order for you to realize your goals and your full potential, you must develop unstoppable internal drive and desire, or else it’s not going to happen. You need to be inspired to do things and reach new heights if you want to break your limits, overcome barriers, and be able to achieve your full potential in life. You have to work and push yourself towards your goals every day. Find your inspiration and use it help you push forward.
Set yourself up for success
In order to be successful and achieve your goals, you must everything you can to live a well-rounded and well-balanced lifestyle. Study and focus on doing things that sets you up for success. Use life-wellness to identify major categories and things you need to work on.
What do you want?
Before you create your goals and objectives, take the time to define the best version of yourself. The more that you can clearly define, articulate, and envision the best version of you, the easier it will be to make it a reality. It’s easier to set your short and long term goals once you can articulate what you want to achieve. Then it’s a matter of figuring out the steps to get to where you want to go. You will feel more confident knowing what you want and how to get there.
Understand your thinking
Become mindful of what you think about and of your self-talk. Your thinking and how you talk to yourself directly impacts your perception and attitude. Change your thinking and you change your life.
Understand your circumstances
Learn to accept, live, and progress within your situation. Appreciate and focus on what you have and not on what you don't have.
How you interpret and perceive things impacts your perception of reality in a particular way. Be aware of that and remain open minded. Do you tend to see the negativity or the positivity in everything? Are you pessimistic or optimistic? Open your mind and look for the positive and the beauty in everything, even though it may be flawed with imperfections.
Maintaining a good attitude greatly improves your chances of achieving contentment, happiness, and success. Invest in presenting a positive disposition and a nice smile.
How to Achieve Your Potential
It's important to know what you want in life and how you want to live each moment. Start thinking and behaving in a manner that reflects the person you envision yourself to be right now!
Create positive change
Identify and understand what you want to change and take action. You can take baby steps, but just make sure that each one is taking you closer towards your goals. Introduce a positive change into your daily lifestyle and keep doing it until it becomes a deep-rooted habit. Maintaining consistency is usually an important part of creating positive change. Practice and repeat often is a good guide towards achieving your objectives.
We're constantly making big and small decisions throughout each day. Be mindful whether each decision you make will have a positive or a negative impact. Each choice we make has consequences now and in the future? Small decisions can have big consequences, especially over time. Ask yourself if the choice that you are making positive or a negative?
The ability to command yourself and to follow through plays a key role in your ability to achieve your goals and be successful.
We are, as humans, a work in progress. The key word in that sentence is "progress". It's up to you to work towards creating a well-balanced, well-rounded, and successful lifestyle.

While there are many unique addiction and mental health resources available for women, none of them are comprehensive and specifically tailored to addiction among women. After research across the resources available on the web, the AAC team noticed the absence of a centralized resource designed to help understand the basics of mental health, alcohol use and addiction within this demographic and offer guidance on navigating support systems. They decided to fill this gap of knowledge.
